Articulation

Practical nurses have the opportunity to apply to "bridge programs" for training as registered nurses. Carthage Technical Center is working to develop opportunities to articulate with other nursing programs to assist practical nurses in their course work towards a degree that would prepare he/she to become a registered nurse.

Registered nurses have a broad scope of focus working under the supervision of a physician. They work with patients, their families and the community to promote health and wellness utilizing the nursing process. They also serve as patient advocates and health educators. There are employment opportunities in numerous types of healthcare settings and the future job outlook is very strong.
